Atlantis 6 was founded in the mid-90s by Belgian producer Peter Bellaert, already well established in the underground club scene with several successful dance productions. With this project, Bellaert made his first leap into the commercial dance genre. The debut single “The New Style” was an instant success. Its recognizable trance melody, combined with a Beastie Boys vocal sample, made it a club anthem played endlessly across the circuit. Later, a radio-friendly version featuring new vocals by Michel Orthier replaced the sample, allowing the track to break through on dance radio as well.

25 years later, thanks to the initiative of Wim Van Dessel (known for the Memoriez vinyl series), a Best Of EP was released, sparking renewed interest and countless fans asking where Atlantis 6 had gone. This led Bellaert to revive the project. Now, after a quarter of a century, Atlantis 6 is back on stage—and back in the studio. Their comeback includes the reworked release of an unreleased 90s track titled “The Way”, marking a new beginning in a new era. Fans can once again expect fresh music, infused with the unmistakable sound of Atlantis 6.
